Water Water Everywhere....

Especially in your body! Your body is made up of about 70% water, a nutrient you must get from the foods you eat the the drinks you ingest. Water is so essential that your body, which can survive for weeks within food, will perish after only a few days without water. Proper hydration improves endocrine and liver function, decreases appetite, regulates body temperature, and rids your cells of toxins and wants. In terms of fat loss, water helps you feel more full and aids in the metabolism of food, extracting nutrients from the meals your eat and more efficiently transporting them to cells.
The human body naturally loses about two quarts of water a day through perspiring, breathing, urinating, and other bodily functions. This water must be replaced to ensure proper hydration and bodily function. If it were up to me, everyone would drink a gallon of water every day. However, I realize this is a tall order, so I encourage you to drink at least a half gallon a day to pure clean water. Before a workout, have 8-10 ounces, and during your session, sip water frequently. Afterward, drink at least 10-16 ounces of water to replenish what was lost during exercise through sweat, heavy breathing, and cellular reactions.
