In terms of exercise, the single most important hormone for losing fat fast is ADRENALINE.
From an exercise standpoint, fat loss is by and large a systemic process. This means that it will come off from where your genetics dictate and according to the hormonal conditions discussed earlier.
However, a study published in the American Journal of Physiology revealed something quite interesting. Researchers discovered that blood flow is increased to the fat cells that are adjacent to working muscles. This increase in blood flow helps to improve the interaction between the adrenaline hormones and the fat cells resulting in an increase in fat loss to that area.
In other words, spot reduction may not be a myth after all. In fact, I’ve said for years that I fully believe you can spot reduce through proper exercise and diet to control hormone balance.
This is not to say that you can lose fat from one area preferentially over another but what this does say is that if you are interested in increasing fat loss from an area it makes sense to train the surrounding muscles.
The single best way to stimulate the release of adrenaline is using high density exercise methods. This basically means performing increasing amounts of work in decreasing amounts of time.
