A south bay native, Brittany Hixenbaugh was born and raised in Palos Verdes Estates. At age 3 her mom put her in Dance lessons, she went on to master: jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, gymnastics and cheerleading. Brittany competitively danced for 20 years winning national competitions and titles, even appearing on the Disney Channel as an extra for dance scenes/movies. Growing up, if Brittany wasn’t performing on stage or dancing in and out of local dance studios you could find her at the local beach in the ocean either surfing or kayaking.
After loosing her father in a car accident in 2007, which they both were in, Brittany used fitness as a way to rehabilitate her body, mind, and soul. After her accident, Brittany found the method of Barre, as it reminded her of being in a dance studio. It didn’t take her long to become certified as a Barre instructor while going to graduate school to become a Special Education Teacher. She loved the way her body responded to the method of barre. Being thirsty to break in to the fitness industry and make a name for herself, Brittany became certified in Cycling, Pilates, and HIIT classes. For the last 6 years Brittany has taught and continues to teach in various South Bay studios as well as training her private clients, “FIT with BRITT” at the beach (where else would you expect?). Brittany teaches sweat dripping, booty blasting, killer workouts: you can consider her a “jack of all trades.” She’s known for pushing her clients out of their comfort zones with her high energy, fast paced, and positive classes. While living life as though everyday might be her last, Brittany’s goals are to push her clients to be the best versions of themselves: mentally and physically.
“Everyone should own their bodies and that means challenging your physicality. You only have this body, so make it a good one.”
